KS3 learners at The Grange School explore a variety of topics and themes which allow them to develop their skills, build confidence and embed values of teamwork and perseverance.

Learners have the opportunity to study key practitioners, creative strategies and devising techniques through a series of lessons that explore relevant and current issues.

GCSE Drama

KS4 Learners at The Grange School follow the Edexcel Drama specification which focuses on the development of core skills within three structured components.

Learners have the opportunity to study explorative strategies, drama mediums& elements of drama through the exploration of a given stimulus. Learners also have the opportunity to experience and perform a wide variety of play texts and live theatre performances throughout the course.

Within their exploration, learners are exposed to a variety of different themes and dramatic forms which aid their understanding leading towards performances in Component 1 & 2. During their Component 2, learners have the opportunity to specialise as a perform, portraying a character within a play, or as a performance support student, working behind the scenes on lighting, music, set& costumes.
