Y​oung Carers

Our learning mentor Miss Thomas is our Young Carers Champion and offers support to those children who help to look after a relative with a disability, illness, mental health condition, or drug or alcohol problem. This could be a parent or a sibling. Miss Thomas offers 1:1 or small group mentor drop in time, where emotional support is offered.

 

If you think that your child is a young carer, please contact Miss Thomas to discuss what support can be offered. Families will be directed to Halton Young Carers centre which is a network partner of the Carers trust where they will be offered an assessment. School support will then be offered, which is bespoke to the needs of the individual child. For further information and support please see below:
