Frequently Asked Questions

If my child is currently in Year 6 will they automatically transfer to Year 7?

Yes, we are one school so your child automatically has a place in Year 7 without completing the application forms.

If my child is currently in your Nursery will they automatically get a place in your reception?
If your child has been on role in our nursery they will automatically get a place in our reception.

If my child is going to be absent from school which number do I ring?
The school's pupil absence telephone number is 01928 562663.

How much notice is given to parents/carers regarding school visits or trips?
The school are aware that parents/carers need as much notification as possible in order to prepare and pay for school trips. Every effort is made to ensure that realistic and achievable timescales are in place to make payment methods accessible and for staff to plan, cost and process safe, educational, relevant and exciting school trips for all.

Is a process for payment of trips over time going to be an option for parents/carers in the future in order to spread the cost?
The school do have a system on site which will enable parents/carers to do this. However, before this can go live, it needs further development and trials to ensure that it will be successful upon implementation. When the system is operational, information will be communicated with parents/carers.

Are parents/carers who pay their trip money also paying for the children whose parents/carers don't?
Absolutely not. Parents/Carers do not pay for the teachers places on trips either, as usually schools are offered a number of free adult places based on the ratio required for safeguarding the children outside of school.

How can parents/carers find out what clubs are available across the school?
The list of clubs and activities currently available to learners is currently displayed in the 'About Us' section of the website.

What activities are available for the learners to get involved in at lunchtime?
A new lunch time initiative has been set up in school where by several members of staff have been giving up some of their lunch time to offer children a choice of clubs/workshops to attend.
